OpenVision from HTSL is a lightweight, fully man-portable 40/55/70 kV x-ray system designed for the following applications:

OpenVision comprises a highly sensitive x-ray imager and a battery operated 70kV x-ray tube specially designed and engineered for portable operation in the field. It has a 6” x 4” imaging area and real time video which enables the operator to scan a huge variety of subjects that would be otherwise impossible without extensive preparatory work.

A perfect example is the range of lagged pipelines used in the oil industry. The OpenVision system can scan a wide range of pipe sizes thanks to the adjustable hand-held C-arm and in most cases eliminating the need to remove lagging from the pipe.

The adjustment in the C-arm provides a 3D perspective as well as the ability to move in closer for more detail or distance the imager to provide a wider field of view.

This incredible flexibility offers extensive applications in the aerospace industries, where it provides accurate inspection of a wide range of materials, including aerospace specific metals and composites, depending on total material thickness, of course.

The images are presented on a hand held 7” LCD display or on a military grade heads-up display mounted to a hard hat or a head band, while still images or real time video can be stored on the 30 Gb hard drive, which is particularly important where the OpenVision is used in security applications. The controller is safety protected by key switch operation.
